The latest crop of crossover nerd-friendly entertainment, however, whether TV series like “Game of Thrones” or “Silicon Valley,” or comic-book movies like the year’s top-grossing title, “Guardians of the Galaxy,” are of a different character – comfortable in the mainstream and safe in assuming that once-fringe obsessions like computers, text-communication, gadgets and comic books and science fiction are increasingly everyone’s obsessions. |
